The Scoop

Kosmic Khaos Pinball Machine?

The Texas Pinball Festival released their 2018 theme – Kosmic Khaos – on their Facebook page last week (see it here).  It contained the following statement “Presenting the #TPF2018 theme and shirt design! Art by Blake Dumesnil. “Kosmic Khaos” concept by Mark Ritchie (more on that to come).” Kaneda’s Pinball Podcast interviewed Blake who shared that the Kosmic Khaos theme stems from an idea Mark Ritchie had for a original pinball theme.  The theme is being developed for TPF, but they are also going to “develop it further into something that could possibly be rolled into a game one day”.   Click to hear the portion of the interview that discusses the possibility of this game.  Keep an eye out for further updates from the Texas Pinball Festival to see if this gets some legs and actually is made into a pinball machine!  You can check out the Texas Pinball Festival on Facebook here or at their website here.

Almost/Sort of a View of Thunderbirds Playfield

More Thunderbirds teasing from Homepin!  Mike from Homepin is unable to show the full playfield because not all of it has been approved as of yet, but last week they did release this video showing some blocked gameplay.  Combining a still from that video and zooming in on a photo from this post, we have our best (blurry) looks at the playfield seen here and here.  Homepin previously released a video of a possible playfield toy and part of the playfieldelectroluminescent headbox decals, steel aprons with built-in leveling bubbles, and a pic of the lock inserts.  Homepin plans to show off the machine at Pinfest in Australia coming up October 7th and 8th.  Check out Homepin’s Facebook page here for more updates.  Rumor has it that the Head2Head Pinball Podcast may be interviewing Homepin this week – check their website here and their Facebook page here.

Alien Updates

There are a few updates to report for Heighway Pinball from last week:

  • On Heighway’s Facebook page they announced they would be skipping software V0.99 and that all Alien machines would ship with “at least” V1.0 installed.  For a full list of all the software updates, click here.

  • This video was posted on Instagram of the beacon in action on the Alien Limited Edition model.

  • Word is that there is a shipment which was previously delayed on the water currently on it’s way to the United States.  The contents (parts/games) of the shipment are not fully known at this time.
