The Scoop

Scooby-Doo by Spooky Pinball Gameplay Reveal

The Scooby-Doo design team, Bug, “The Real” Spooky Luke, Spooky DJ, and Luke Peters show off some Scooby-Doo gameplay. They discuss the following about their latest game:

  • Picking a character to start the game. That character will be favored in the callouts.

  • Skillshot is a flashing red shot that can moved by the flippers before plunge.

  • Blinking white shots are for collecting clues to qualify your cases.

  • Shoot the right scoop to start a case.

  • Bravery meter

  • After completing the case shots you have an unmasking hurry-up shot, but there is also a trap shot that multiplies that hurry-up.

  • Show off the bookcase diverter/flipper

  • Each character has three shots to qualify a character jackpot for that character.

  • Left/Right spinners fill up your gas tank for Mystery Machine Multiball

  • Center drain drop target up with dog tags

  • Every case/monster has their own custom made song.

  • Side modes within each mode add difficulty

  • You can lock in a mode by hitting the launch button

  • Mystery Machine Multiball

  • Captain Cutler Multiball

  • They play through multiple modes

Stern Insider Connected Year in Review and Achievement Percentage Complete

Stern Insider Connected have added a couple of fun new features. The 2022 Year In Review shows your playing stats for all of your Insider Connected games during 2022. It includes the top titles you played and your high scores for each, your achievements, your score trend per ball, and how you rate on the average with all other insider connected users.

They also added achievement percentage completed charts to each achievement so that you can see how difficult getting that achievement is.

Stephen Silver In-depth on Weird Al via Wormhole Pinball

Stephen Silver from Multimorphic gives us some details about Weird Al’s Museum of Natural Hilarity, the latest P3 game. He talks about the following items with Wormhole Pinball.

  • Magnet assist on the right ramp

  • Ease of play for Weird Al

  • Bologna slapping and hand fart sounds by Scott Danesi

  • Working with Weird Al on the callouts

  • 2 P3 releases are planned for 2023

  • Third party development on the P3

TWIPY 2022 Memorial Submissions
